A Big Workday

A lot of things happened as this massive team began its work today.  We got the batteries fully connected inside the PowerPac, we also fired up our small inverters that will eventually provide power for all the communication equipment.

We also began work on the Solar Inverters on the outside of the PowerPac.

We began running conduits in the open trench headed for the Hospital Utility Room where our centralized panels will be located.
One funny thing happened as the guys were putting conduits in the trench.  A roll of duct tape got dropped into the open sewer trench and rolled down the hill right past the PowerPac.  No one reached into the trench to retrieve it while it rolled past...

If things go well tomorrow, we may turn the PowerPac on using the incoming utility power, so that we can begin testing the system.  Solar panels are being installed and by sometime next week they should be providing power from the sun to the PowerPac.

Our times of sharing today were very special as Miguel told his story of how the Lord has gotten  hold of him and changed his life.  God is doing good things among this team as some who were sick are now doing better, but it seems every day someone new is having issues.  So for that and for safety we are asking for prayers, that Satan would not prevent this hospital from being able to make such a difference in this country, and that he would be held back from sabotaging our progress as we attempt to get this needed clean power in place that the hospital can continue to do what they do best.  We also ask that prayers be made for Caleb (the hospital's project manager and our team's main source of direction) as he is struggling with something right now and was unable to be with us at all today.  Symptoms seem to be Malaria-like, but the initial blood tests do not indicate that.
