The Journey Begins

At 11 AM Saturday morning, some members of the Advance Team from I-TEC will begin to assemble at the Friends In Action International Headquarters in Middletown, Pennsylvania, while others are traveling from other locations.  Our first flights will take each of us to Dulles International Airport, where we expect to continue traveling to Kibuye Hope hospital in Bujumbura, Burundi, East Africa. As we are coming from different locations, there is always risk of missed or delayed flights.  We are trusting the Lord to give us traveling mercies and on-time flights.   The flight from Dulles will take us to Brussels, and from there we will fly to Bujumbura.

Our plans are to spend a full day at Hope Africa University in Bujumbura, before heading to Kibuye on Tuesday.  While at HAU we will be getting a "last look" at the facility that is likely to be our next LARGE PowerPac in many ways similar to the system we are installing at Kibuye.

Once we arrive at Kibuye, our goal is to survey all of the equipment that was sent to Africa so many months ago,  and to begin to map out a plan of attack as our main team will arrive one week behind us to begin working on installation.  We should be able to figure out early if we need any emergency supplies to come along with our main team.

The PowerPac is sitting on the concrete pads waiting for us to arrive.  What a blessing it will be to see that sight with our own eyes!  We anxiously are waiting to see how the Lord is going to accomplish what He wants to have happen in Burundi.  Will you check in with us often as we list events happening as well  as listing any other items we need you to pray with us about.
