Thursday Already!
Today is a bit different. We have had a number of our volunteers down for the count - Don, Michael, Paul. Others have had a few extra trips to the bathroom than normal and some have had some slight fevers. We would appreciate your prayers for all of us as something must have caused this. Several were looked at by a doctor from the hospital here and are getting needed rest.
Today we continued working on a number of things. All of the batteries are now in place in the PowerPac, and the battery connections are being worked on.
38,160 lbs. of batteries now in place in the PowerPac.
A great crew of Burundians and Americans working together.
In addition to the Battery Installation, we made connections to the incoming power from the Utility through our box which will contain relays and sensors that will help qualify the incoming power, so that there will not be extremes in the voltages.
And, at the end of our day there was one array of Solar Panels in place. In the week ahead there will be four additional arrays installed, along with the necessary wiring to the PowerPac.
Some calls were made to our next team members and some additional parts will be brought along to help us out with the installation.
Tomorrow Gary will need to travel back to Sister Connection to make a few modifications to the communication equipment there. This will be after noon.
Our next team of workers is getting ready to travel here from all over the US and Canada. We would appreciate your prayers for their safe travel and that the massive storms in the Northeast will not cause problems for any of them.
